The Crib is Complete!!!
The baby crib that Chris has been working on for our little girl is now complete!! It's a solid oak convertible crib that changes from regular crib to toddler bed to a headboard and footboard for a full size bed. I think he did an amazing job as it turned out beautifully!!! It's definately something that will make a wonderful keepsake for our daughter for many years to come. Here are few pictures of it assembled and in her room.

Office Shower

Last Tuesday afternoon I had a shower thrown by the girls that I work with at The Bond Clinic. We went out to eat at a wonderful Mexican restaurant here in Rolla and had a great time!! The decorations and party favors were adorable and the food was awesome! It meant a lot to me that they took the time to plan the shower and spend the afternoon with me. Here are a few pics from the "wild party" !!

Early Arrival???
Well, Chris and I had another Dr's appointment today. I gained 2 pounds which the Dr was still very happy with. That makes a total of 17 now. My blood pressure was still great and the baby's heartbeat was still nice and strong and healthy sounding. Now, on to the interesting news. The Dr doesn't think I'm going to make it that much longer....possibly another 2 weeks or so. The baby has dropped significantly and is "engaged in the pelvis". In other words, she's way the heck down there. There are several other things going on which makes it also evident that I won't probably be going another 5 weeks. I also had my first touch of contractions this afternoon on the way to the Dr. which was just great feeling. So, things are going a little faster than any of us anticipated. I have to go back again next week for another check. He said that if things start progressing quicker, he will just put me in the hospital and go from there. This is all kind of a shock to me, so I'm a little bit nervous about it all right now. I'm sure things will be fine, but it's still a little scary. Anyway, here's today's tummy pic!!!

Another Good Report!
Chris and I had another Dr's visit yesterday and all is still well with the little one! Her heartbeat is still really strong and she's moving around in there like a little gymnast. I didn't gain any weight in the past 3 weeks which didn't seem to bother him. He just told me that it would easier for me after she's born with losing the weight. I've gained a total of 15 pounds now and he's pleased with that. My blood pressure is still doing great and everything is as it should be. We have our one day marathon childbirth classes on Jan 17th so that should be interesting. I just hope my husband behaves while that's going on :) So, just a report that all is well in babyland!!

It's Shower Time!!!....Baby Shower that is :)
My sister in law's Laura and Michelle threw me a wonderful baby shower on the 27th of December. We had it at the Handel Haus in Cole Camp and everything was great!! There were games, cake, presents and visiting with the guests. I really enjoyed the day and I'm very appreciative for all they did and everyone who came. So here are a few pics from the big event :)

Christmas 2008
Chris and I started our Christmas holiday by spending time at the Davis house on the evening of Christmas Eve. We started out with a great dinner and then proceeded to tear into the presents. Granted, the kids did most of the tearing, but they seemed to really enjoy it!! It was really fun watching all of the kids ripping the wrapping paper off the presents and finding out what they had gotten for Christmas.
We then spent Christmas day at the Schnackenberg house. We started by going to church in the morning, then eating another wonderful Christmas meal and then tearing into more presents that afternoon. It was actually our little niece Emma who was doing most of the ripping. She seemed to have a blast ripping off the wrapping paper from everyone's presents :)
The holidays were great and we definately enjoyed spending time with family. We just wish there were a few more days to enjoy.
Next Christmas we'll have a 10 month old of our own to contend with...and we can't wait!!!
