Green beans....Yummy ?!?!?!?!

Madison just recently entered the world of solid food. We started with rice cereal which she really didn't mind. Then a week or so after that we started with green beans for dinner. She didn't seem to mind them at first, but after about the 3rd or 4th bite we started getting the faces. She kept opening her mouth for them so it couldn't have been that bad. After the green beans we moved onto adding bananas to her cereal in the mornings and that is a HUGE hit. She can't get enough of those! It's early, but it looks like she's going to be a pretty good little eater!

Madison had her 6 month check up and shots at the Dr this week and she did really good. She screamed like crazy while she was getting her shots, but immediately after that, I picked her up and she quieted right down. She is now 15 lbs 8 oz and 25 1/2 inches long. She is in the 40th percentile on both height and weight. She is in the 70% percentile for head circumference, but that's just because she has a huge brain!! He said she was doing good and that he could feel some bottom teeth down there and they would hopefully show themselves in the next month. All in all, she's growing like a little weed and we're enjoying every minute of it!!

6 months old!!

Madison is 6 months old today!! I can't believe my little baby is a half of a year already!! Where has the time gone. I still remember like it was yesterday seeing her for the first time and thinking how beautiful she was. That hasn't changed a bit! I think she is just a beautiful little angel.
She is trying very very hard to sit up on her own and almost has that tackled. She scoots around on her tummy but still doesn't have it all together to crawl. I'm sure that will happen before we know it and then watch out! She still doesn't have any teeth, but I have to believe they're not far away. Of course I've been saying that since she was four months old! She's still not sleeping the whole night through, but hopefully that is around the corner as well. She usually goes to bed around 8pm and wakes up wanting to eat around 4am, then she's good until around 6:30. It's really not a bad schedule, I would just welcome the uninterrupted sleep!
I'll try to be better about blogging more often, I obviously haven't been the greatest at that lately, but I promise I'll try!

Splish Splash

Madison has loved taking baths since she came home from the hospital and it hasn't changed yet. She loves sitting in the bathtub and sucking on her rubber ducky and splashing her feet around. I have never had her cry while in the bath. Anymore she hangs on to the sides of her bathtub when I start to take her out of it, which makes it very difficult to get the slippery baby out. I'm glad she loves her bath and hopefully this will turn into a love of being in the water in general!

Meeting the Shoemakers

This weekend Madison had her first visit with Aunt Dusti, Pete and Stormie!! It has been FAR too long since I've spent any time with Dusti and she had never met Madison yet. Madison loved her visitors and I think Stormie thought quite a bit of baby Madison as well. The time always goes by too fast when visiting with those you love and I can't wait until we get to spend time with them again!! We all miss them very much! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

5 Months Old

Madison turned 5 months old this past Friday (the same day as her Mommy turned 30!) She is growing up so fast and accomplishing so many new things. I just can't believe she's getting so big!! She now weighs 14 lbs 6 oz which is a far cry from the 5 lbs 11 oz when she was born. It's hard to believe now that she was ever that little! Madison now loves to play with her feet and toes and LOVES to watch our little dog Bailey. She will stare at her and follow her around the room and laugh so hard at her sometimes. Madison also claimed her independence on Independence Day! She now rolls from her back to her tummy. Beings that she has been rolling from her tummy to her back for about the past month, I guess this means she's all rolled out now. Don't even try putting her on her back to stay there because it won't happen. She will immediately roll to her tummy and she's pretty quick at it too. I also believe that we're going to have a little jabberjaws on our hands. She loves to talk and blow bubbles and she can get pretty carried away with it at times. Here is a picture from over the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Schnackenberg's house.
And again pictures from this past weekend are still coming!!
