It's A Girl!!!

It's official, we're having a GIRL!! We had our 19 week ultrasound today and everything is looking great. She weighed in at a whopping 9 oz!! She wasn't very cooperative with the picture taking however. She didn't really find it necessary to move around too much, therefore the pictures weren't that great. The tech said that she reminded her of Schroeder off of Charlie Brown leaning over his piano... she was laying there with her face down resting on the placenta with her back and butt in the air. Very interesting position. So, as of now, she's breech, but that can change within minutes and let's hope it does!! The official due date is now set for Feb 22.
The first picture is of our little "Schroeder". The left side of the picture is the head and the white curved "spots" at the top of the picture is the spinal column. The second picture is rather scary I think. It's a face forward shot and you can see the eyes, nose and mouth sort of looking at you sideways.

Dr's Appointment

Yesterday was another visit to the Dr. We got to hear the little one's heartbeat again and at this visit, it was definately loud and strong. The Dr. said that that's the heartbeat of a strong and healthy baby. We were very happy to be hearing that. This was also the first "normal" Dr's visit we've had, which was very nice. No more headaches, no more nausea and no more fatigue!! I feel normal again...for now :) So, I go back in three weeks on Sept 29 for my ultrasound. Hopefully the little one will cooperate and we'll be able to find out just exactly what's inside me. That's all for now...we'll keep you posted!!

Baptism in East Alton, IL

Chris and I spent Saturday and part of Sunday in East Alton, IL where my best friend Dusti, her husband Pete, and their daughter Stormie Mae live. This weekend Stormie was baptized and Dusti asked me to be her Godmother. So, we made the trip to East Alton and had a great weekend. Stormie did really well for being almost 3 and absolutely hating water being poured on her head. She didn't cry, but it was definately not on her top list of things to do that day! She is a wonderful little girl and she couldn't ask for better parents. As you can see in this picture, she wasn't really cooperating with the camera for pictures after the baptism. She was a little sleep deprived that day!
